Amazing food! Great service, we had breakfast at the bar and they pour a very generous mimosa!!!

I wish we'd realized earlier in our stay that this is THE place for breakfast in lower QA. As we approached around 730am two dudes were smoking out front. Much to my surprise one of them said "sit anywhere and I'll be with you in a minute" and he absolutely was. He must've washed his hands in between, too, as there was no stink. Efficient, courteous service and the food was really on point: fluffy omelets with fresh ingredients, my husband's unusual preference for not having any cheese in his was honored, and the hashbrowns were cooked through and excellently crisped on top. I'd give this 5 stars but I did order the fresh orange juice and, while it was pulpy enough to suggest it was squeezed on site, it wasn't fresh in the sense of having been squeezed today, which makes all the difference in sweetness and why I was willing to pay $6.25 for it. So, don't do that. I also don't really care for hard rock music in the early morning, but that's a matter of taste. Also there was a Metallica concert two nights ago and a lot of the city seems to be in the spirit. On the other hand, a quirk of mine that was satisfied: I sometimes order a (nonalcoholic) drink and I never want a second but most servers automatically offer a second. I appreciated that instead we got "can I get you anything else?"

Very happy to give this review! We were recommended to try this place for breakfast by our hotel... very cool vibe...the place was packed! We only waited a few minutes, the food! Man the bread! We had rye, white, and sourdough they were soooo good! Very fresh! Eggs, hash browns, cinnamon roll, but oh the bacon!!!' The best bacon ive ever had! The service was great considering how slammed they were! It was a fantastic experience and we will be back at the end of the week when we are finished with our cruise! I highly recommend Mecca!

Since the day I turned 21, actually during my 21-run, after hitting The Vogue, Frontier Room, Spinnakers, Rock Kandy, Off Ramp, OK Hotel, Lusty Lady, J&M, The Fenix, and Colourbox, we stepped into a tiny little slice of heaven dubbed MECCA CAFE. Mind you, our group of 18 strong minimally had 2 drinks each during this memorialized evening. my first night of LEGAL drinking hit an all time high when The Mecca Cafe welcomed us in as if we owned the place. We even took the liberty of writing/drawing on our drink coaster and had the pleasure of popping it right on the wall towards the back right side next to the whiskey. So proud to be legally drinking. I frequented that café all through my Seattle U years up to moving to So Cal. Well, then I heard of a place where the sun never stops shining and I bolted. Returning a couple years ago (25 years gone past) On a whim, out with friends from the dead and yesteryear. Found ourselves being down in the Kraken district before a match, we graced ourselves with stoping quickly for nostalgia, since we nearly had the same group from the early 90s, we pounded and tossed one down for 'good luck to the boys to skate hard and hit'em high n tight'. That same bite came ripping back in between my teeth and gums. That's the sweet taste of the Mecca café', I screamed", as I gained my vision back, by God, there in the same spot, from my 21 run was my damn coaster. We cheered. we laughed as we left because everything in that area is gone and I mean gone. Well, except that burger place next-door somehow still there. That psychotic night that we did all of what is now BellTown and Old style Pioneer Square and we ended our night at 1:50 in the morning April 8, 19...... If you want incredible food, stiff drinks that offer a turbo straw to get it down quick and want to reminisce about the days of old where your best friend was the bartender and your favorite stool was called "hey, that's Mike's stool", then, always remember the Mecca will be there for you. You know will be back.

We stopped by for a late dinner as it was close to our hotel. We love a little greasy spoon so this was right up our alley. The interior is such a throwback. They have a counter with seating as well as a row of booths. Service was great! Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the BLT with fries and the hubby got the grilled cheese with tomato bisque. I asked for the bacon on my sandwich to be crispy and it came out perfect. The fries, in addition to being hand cut, are cooked in beef tallow which gave them such a good taste. The hubby got his grilled cheese with American and it was also cooked perfectly. The soup was good too. It was hearty filled with tomato's, onions and peppers. For desert we split a cinnamon roll that came out warm. Everything was so good. Prices were reasonable. We both really enjoyed it and wished we didn't wait till the last day of our trip to try it because we would have gone back.

We went to a concert at Climate Pledge, but had parked off of Mercer and Queen Anne. By the time we were back in this area after the concert, most places were closed or no longer serving food. Thankfully this place was! It was an interesting place. There's a bar side and a diner side. Both sides are small. On the bar side, there is bar seating and a few tables past the bar. I didn't really pay attention to what the diner side looked like. Our food was tasty and some of the best scrambled eggs we have had in a long time.
